I finally decided to create a blog! I figured this would be the easiest way to share my adventures in Austria without having to individually e-mail or text everything.
There are only a couple days until I take off! I leave for Austria on Friday morning (September 1st) and land in Vienna Saturday morning local time (September 2nd). I will be starting school there pretty quick at a public school on September 4th. Currently, I'm having a mix or nervous and excited emotions.
I can't wait to be able to explore another country and culture. I'm not entirely sure what to expect, but I hope to come back with new friends, knowing how to speak more German, and just a deeper understanding and appreciation of a different culture.
I'll be staying with a family in a town called Königstetten, which is a little northwest of Vienna. The school I will be attending is in a town called Tulln, which is right along the Danube.
